File Password Remover & Recovery

Recover access to your own .zip or .pdf files. Remove a password you already know, or try a bounded, transparent local guess for one you mostly remember. Not a way to open someone else’s protected files, and not a brute-force attack — attempts are capped and this always finishes.

ZIP — full support: classic password protection is removed and an unlocked copy downloads automatically. WinZip/AES-encrypted archives are detected and declined — that is strong encryption only the exact password can open.

PDF — full support for the RC4 and AES-128 revisions most protected PDFs use: every stream and string is decrypted and an unlocked copy downloads automatically. PDFs built with compressed cross-reference streams are detected — the password is confirmed correct, but automatic unlock is declined rather than risking a corrupted file, so open it with the confirmed password in any PDF reader instead. AES-256 (the newest revision) uses a different algorithm not supported here yet, for verification or unlock.

Word, Excel and PowerPoint password recovery are planned next, not yet supported.
