The romance-scam escalation timeline

The strongest warning is often not one message but a sequence: rapid intimacy, movement to a private channel, isolation from trusted people, introduction of an investment mentor, a small successful withdrawal, larger deposits, then a tax or fee to release funds.

1. Preserve the full conversation and profile URLs.
2. Do not send another payment to unlock existing funds.
3. Contact your bank or exchange independently.
4. Tell a trusted person and report through official channels.
